Hello, I grew up here but left for a while. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. What do you all think? Thanks! The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Baltimore about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is solid.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..
