OK so Crime rate is something to consider -Lake Forest sits at 76.1 per 100K. Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Should I be concerned? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
