Best neighborhoods in Lake Forest

Alright, My partner and I are Median household income is $228,120, which feels pretty solid for the area. You can expect to pay around $2,120 for rent here. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Would love some local perspective. Appreciate any input. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Old Town area are solid. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 7 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Bought a house here in 2021 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
