How much do you pay for rent in Lake Forest Park?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Lake Forest Park sits at 21.9 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 13,356 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Should I be concerned? Thanks for reading. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 13 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
