Lake Havasu City housing prices -when will it stop?
Alright, The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $411,500, which is pretty steep. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 5 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Winters are long and cold
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Eastside for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- The community vibe scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great Asian places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Bought a house here in 2016 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
