Just moved to Lake Hiawatha, any tips?

Hey folks, Am I wrong here? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Riverside area are challenging. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 3 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
