Best hidden gems in Lake Jackson

I grew up here but left for a while. Homes are going for about $248,900 on average. With a population of 27,902, Lake Jackson is a smaller city. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Should I be concerned? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Old Town. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in finance. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
