Best neighborhoods to rent in Lake Magdalene?

Been meaning to ask this. Been living here since 2005. Crime rate is something to consider -Lake Magdalene sits at 315.8 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 5 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into running, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

I work in construction here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is solid. Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Downtown. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in tech. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is tough in most areas.
