Honest thoughts on life in Lake Magdalene

So, Just moved here 17 months ago and Rent is about $1,342/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What neighborhoods would you suggest? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from LA about 3 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is decent.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The traffic is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

I'm a marketing manager and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is decent and there's always something going on.
