Should I move to Lake Magdalene or stay in Seattle?
Poverty rate is 8.2%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $335,800, which seems about average. With a population of 31,733, Lake Magdalene is a smaller city. Median household income is $75,606, which feels about average for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I wrong here? The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The walkability is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2016 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I work in marketing here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 8 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Hope this helps!.

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.
