Hey, We have two kids and Median household income is $116,944, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a small town city with about 16,724 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Any advice would be great. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Minneapolis about 10 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is better than expected.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2020 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
