My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from New York about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is tough.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
