Lake Morton-Berrydale is underrated, change my mind

Curious what people think. Been living here since 2023. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -Lake Morton-Berrydale sits at 214.1 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Lake Morton-Berrydale? Thanks!

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 5 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
