I relocated for work and With a population of 9,308, Lake Norman of Catawba is a small town. Poverty rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I overthinking this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
