Curious what people think. I work in hospitality and You can expect to pay around $1,272 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 12,496 people. The median home value here is around $839,900, which is pretty steep. With a population of 12,496, Lake Norman of Iredell is a small town. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Is this normal for Lake Norman of Iredell? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in marketing. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
