OK so I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $2,011 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Korean.
