I grew up here but left for a while. Rent is about $1,115/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 12.7%, which is around average. Median household income is $56,306, which feels about average for the area. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I wrong here? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
