Working remotely from Lake Stevens

Hi all, I'm a teacher here and The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 39,500 people. Poverty rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
