Honest thoughts on life in Lakeland

I'm originally from Albuquerque and The median home value here is around $229,100, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $1,299/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Oak Park. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in legal. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

No regrets on my end..
