Most overrated things about Lakeland

Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I wrong here? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in East area are challenging. Kids love it here.
