Why I chose Lakeland over bigger cities

I've been here for 16 years and Poverty rate is 10.6%, which is around average. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. Household incomes average around $60,947 in Lakeland. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

I work in engineering here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is surprisingly good. Hope this helps!.
