Working in Lakeland -salaries realistic?

Hi all, I'm originally from Sacramento and Median household income is $60,947, which feels about average for the area. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cheers. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Seattle about 3 years ago. The main reasons were weather and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are reasonable, gas is tough.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
