Moving from Los Angeles to Lakeland South next month

Random thought, Just moved here 18 months ago and The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Lakeland South sits at 32.1 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cheers.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
