Anyone else love living in Lakeland?

First post here. Just moved here 11 months ago and Rent is about $1,611/month for a decent place. Median household income is $113,843, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Does this match your experience?

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Maple Ridge) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
