Cheapest neighborhoods in Lakemoor?

Curious what people think. You can expect to pay around $1,711 for rent here. Rent is about $1,711/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 5,878 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Lakemoor sits at 16.6 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Growing food scene
- Diverse community
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Cold winters
- Far from major airports
- Limited cultural events

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Sunset area are solid. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely excellent and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Uptown) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
