Why I chose Lakemoor over bigger cities

Hey everyone, I'm a 23-year-old teacher and Homes are going for about $261,300 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 5 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Korean places. I love the pace of life here.
