Hi all, I'm a 34-year-old data analyst and It's a a small town city with about 12,845 people. Rent is about $1,330/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $271,400, which seems about average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Anyone in a similar situation? The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from San Francisco about 15 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Good luck with whatever you decide..
