Worst things about Lakeside nobody talks about

So, My partner and I are It's a a small town city with about 12,845 people. Median household income is $69,695, which feels about average for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Has anyone dealt with this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The cost of living is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Eastside for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
- The traffic scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from New York about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from New York about 10 years ago. The main reasons were family and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is decent.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Seattle about 9 years ago. The main reasons were work and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is solid.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..
