Thinking about relocating to Lakeville from Sacramento

Hey, I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $1,727 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Lakeville sits at 67.0 per 100K. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Lakewood. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in marketing. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
