Job market in Lakewood — what industries are hiring?

I'm in tech and considering a move to Lakewood, CA. How's the job market there? The unemployment rate shows 3.7% which seems pretty good. But what does it actually look like on the ground?

Is it easy to network and find opportunities?

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Been here 20 years. The city has changed a lot but overall for the better.

The job market has been improving lately. Several education companies moved in recently.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is drive around neighborhoods at different times before committing. Makes a big difference.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Highland Park. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

I've lived in Oakwood for 15 years and it's decent, has its pros and cons.

If you can afford it, University District is the best place to live. Period.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Check out the Highland Park area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.
