Anyone else feel this way? We're a young couple and Rent is about $1,746/month for a decent place. With a population of 156K, Lakewood is a mid-size city. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. What would you do? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
