Dog-friendly places in Lakewood?

Alright, The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,647/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $57,576 in Lakewood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I overthinking this? Thanks for reading. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 15 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
