First post here. Just moved here 13 months ago and Homes are going for about $241,500 on average. Median household income is $65,925, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Lakewood sits at 122.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
