I relocated for work and It's a a small town city with about 14,077 people. Household incomes average around $64,848 in Lakewood Park. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Raleigh about 6 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Limited entertainment options
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is better than expected.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..
