Worst things about Lakewood Ranch nobody talks about
Hey everyone, Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $626,500, which is pretty steep. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I work in healthcare here and I love the pace of life here. The job market for my field is better than expected. Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 3 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Hope this helps!.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Dallas it's underrated.
