Is Lakewood worth moving to in 2026?

I'm a college student here and The median home value here is around $420,500, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I overthinking this? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.
