Rent in Lakewood getting crazy

It's a a smaller city city with about 63,034 people. You can expect to pay around $1,460 for rent here. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Anyone in a similar situation? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Bought a house here in 2022 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Came here for weather and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The weather is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.
