Is public transit usable in Lancaster?

Hey everyone, I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider — Lancaster sits at 852.9 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,696 for rent here. Rent is about $1,696/month for a decent place. With a population of 170K, Lancaster is a mid-size city. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Is this normal for Lancaster? Thanks! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The weather scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Limited entertainment options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
