Lancaster job market vs Memphis

Curious what people think. Just moved here 6 months ago and Household incomes average around $76,083 in Lancaster. You can expect to pay around $1,696 for rent here. Homes are going for about $409,100 on average. Average temperature is around 62°F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. I'm a writer and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
