Anyone else feel this way? Military spouse here. Crime rate is something to consider — Lancaster sits at 852.9 per 100K. Poverty rate is 12.3%, which is around average. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Anyone in a similar situation? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
