First time home buyer in Lancaster

Hey folks, Crime rate is something to consider -Lancaster sits at 155.3 per 100K. Rent is about $872/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
