Life in Lancaster as a young professional

Hi all, Rent is about $839/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The healthcare is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Salt Lake City it's decent.

Bought a house here in 2015 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone about the same since then.
