Pros and cons of Lancaster after 3 years

Hi all, Rent is about $999/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $999 for rent here. The median home value here is around $180,200, which is actually reasonable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cheers. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in The Heights. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in finance. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Definitely worth checking out..
