Hi all, Crime rate is something to consider -Lancaster sits at 679.3 per 100K. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I wrong here? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Salt Lake City it's hit or miss.

I work in hospitality here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is decent. No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much manageable but now it's challenging.
