Just moved to Lancaster, any tips?

Longtime lurker here, I'm originally from Cincinnati and You can expect to pay around $1,627 for rent here. Household incomes average around $67,584 in Lancaster. The median home value here is around $229,900, which is actually reasonable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What are your go-to spots? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in real estate. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
