Moving from Charlotte to Lancaster next month

Hey folks, I'm a college student here and Household incomes average around $67,584 in Lancaster. It's a a smaller city city with about 40,753 people. You can expect to pay around $1,627 for rent here. Median household income is $67,584, which feels about average for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 4 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
