Why I chose Land O' Lakes over bigger cities

Hi all, Born and raised here. Median household income is $98,648, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $1,923/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great craft beer places. it was the best decision I ever made.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Tampa it's pretty good.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Cedar Grove area are decent. Kids love it here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Austin it's solid.

Used to live on the West side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
