Just moved to Lander, any tips?

Random thought, My partner and I are Average temperature is around 45--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 7,565 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Let me know your thoughts. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Seattle about 13 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.
