First time home buyer in Lansdowne

OK so I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $199,200 on average. Rent is about $1,219/month for a decent place. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Is this normal for Lansdowne? The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
