Commute times in Lansing -how bad?

Curious what people think. I've been here for 3 years and The median home value here is around $168,500, which is actually reasonable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in Highland area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
